January - June 2018

January:

-Wizard of Oz Day at School

-Presley got to bring home the class bear, Tex, for the weekend.  

February:

-100th Day of School

-Daddy daughter dance

-Presley's 6th birthday.  We had a salon party with some of her friends from school.  We came back to the house for cake and a dance party.  Then Laurel spent the night.  

-Dave and I spent a few days in Nashville for our 10th anniversary.  We had a wonderful time with highlights being touring the RCA studio, Country Music Hall of Fame, Dierks Bentley's Bar, Dinner at Sambuca's and a night on the town with Missy and Doug, Breakfast with Drew Miller, Anniversary Dinner at The Standard, Hattie B's Hot Chicken, Hey Y'all Air BnB, Tennessee State Capital, lunch in Franklin with Missy and Doug.  

March:

-Presley lost her 2 first teeth at the dentist, when he had to pull them.  
-Oklahoma Cabin fun with Marcie and the girls

-Brooks sings a solo in the Second Grade musical.  

April:

-Brooks turns 8.  He celebrated with Jacob and Rhett coming over for a sleepover.  He wanted to us all to have dinner at Chili's.

-Grandma and Grandpa came for a surprise early visit for Dave's birthday.  We took Grandma to Magnolia in Waco.

-I was a scarecrow in the Curtsinger Wizard of Oz.  I even had to do a scarecrow dance in the front of the whole school.

May:

-Farm Day in Kindergarten

-Field Day

-My Uncle Marshall passed away suddenly.  We took a trip to Louisiana for the funeral,

- We went to Austin to visit Greg Barber and his family for Memorial Day Weekend.  We took a day trip down to Sea World in San Antonio.  Greg knew one of the sea lion trainers and set up a meeting with Salsa the Sea Lion.  

-End of the Year Awards

-A new school opened up and many teachers, including myself, had to transfer.  I accepted a job at Vaughn Elementary in Frisco, teacher 2nd grade and being the team leader.  

June:

-Brooks plays baseball on the Astros.  

-Celebrity Baseball Game at Roughrider Ballpark.

-Golf Camp at Plantation.  Presley got 2nd place in the Drive, Chip, and Putt Competition.  She got to compete in the subregionals at Castle Hills in Lewisville.  She wasn't super interested in the whole thing because she was too hot!
