Fun on The Run

We are having an awesome summer and staying busy!!!  Dave has been working 10 hour days/4 days a week, so he has an extra day off to spend with us.  We have had lots of great adventures in the last few weeks.

These pics are from a trip to the little kiddie amusement park with some church friends.  It's one of the kids' favorite places to go.  And all the rides are 25 cents.  We can wear their little hineys out for less than 10 bucks.

 Showing me their "rollercoaster hands"

Before Presley realized that Brooks had a sucker (and she didn't)

And after.  How adorable is that?

 Giving Hugs

And Kisses.  Seriously, Folks.  I love these two babies!

Mr. Jim came to mow and left his "tractor".  Brooks played on it for hours!

Brooks is really into superheroes!  He and Lincoln like to dress up as Batman and Robin.

My very dear friend, Melissa, moved to Seattle last year.  During her recent trip to Dallas, I finally got to meet little Miss Alex.  Love this little lady!

Daddy got to go on a preschool playdate to the fire station with us!

The firemen were AWESOME with the kids, letting everyone dress up!

Sissy was not real thrilled about it.

 Brooks had a blast!

My girlfriend Kristine, and her family, drove up from Dallas to hang out for the 4th of July. We had a great time on adventures in the city,  and just hanging out at the house, grilling out and doing fireworks.

Love this picture of my boys snuggling at the zoo!

Brooks rode the camel with Maddie and Bella.  He was holding on for dear life!

This picture cracks me up.  Can you tell how annoyed they all are that I am taking too many pictures?

She's gonna kill me for putting her picture on here, but oh well!  Kristine and I have been great friends for 20 years now.  I am so thankful for this beautiful lady, inside and out!  We had so much fun, we've decided to make July 4th an annual visit from her family.

At the Air and Space Museum.  The kids loved all the hands-on activities.

Paige and Brooks at our church's 4th of July celebration.  Brooks calls Paige his "big sister".  And don't even try to tell him differently.  We just adore this little sweetie!

Me and my silly babies, making faces at each other.  I feel so blessed!

Fun at the Children's Museum

Brooks LOVED the giant slide made out of tape.

We also went on our big family vacation for the summer.  My brother recently moved to Grand Forks, North Dakota.  So we started by heading up there.  Seriously ya'll!  It is like a scene from a movie.  That town is absolutely beautiful, with tree-lined streets, a quaint little downtown, and a river surrounded with parks, shopping, and restaurants.  We had a great time exploring their new hometown.  Gammy and Paw Paw even drove up from Texas for the fun!  Glad we got to go before it gets too cold.

My momma and my baby girl.

Love these two goofballs.

Playing "got your nose" with Paw Paw

Of course, we had to stop at the world-famous chocolate store.

Sam, Charlie, and Owen were loving Brooks up before we left.  So sweet!

Presley and her beautiful Aunt Beth.  This is one of the amazing women our little girl is named after.

After our North Dakota fun, we loaded up and headed back to South Dakota, where we spent several days hanging out with Dave's family.  We loved celebrating cousin Alex's wedding with the whole family!

Riding the luggage rack down to the pool.

Pool time with Grandma.

Me and my honey at the rehearsal dinner.

Brooks and Presley with their cousins.  There are 8 of them, all under 8 years old!!!

Our little family

Love this man so much!  And I love going to weddings with him.  It's always such a great reminder of those vows we took 5 years ago.  I still mean every word I said on that special day.

My silly babies.  They crack each other up.

Mommy and Brooks dancing at the reception.

Daddy and Presley dancing.

This is what I married into!  Love these crazy people!

What a crew.  If you only knew how much personality is in this picture!!!

Grandma "getting" Presley

Auntie Jayne had this adorable cape make for our Brooksie Bear, who currently truly believes that he is a superhero.  This is him, surveying his domain.

As we headed home, after 10 days of running and going, Brooks was exhausted!  But he kept complaining, saying his seat was too small.  After 3 hours of this, we decided to stop and buy a high back booster chair, which we have been meaning to do for a while.  5 minutes after we strapped him in it, he was out!!!!  I gotta say though...as much as I love watching him grow and change, it's moments like this that I have to ask myself "what happened to my little baby?!?!?"

Officer Brooks

Heading to Cherry Berry with Paige and Miss Cathy.  He was SO excited that he was going somewhere without mommy!
