What an amazing trip with amazing friends. The McWhorters live across the street from us and have become the best of friends. Presley and Laurel are inseparable, spending every possible moment together. So when the family asked us to join them for a week in Destin, where their family has a condo near the beach, we couldn't say yes fast enough.
And oh my! The memories we made!
A few highlights:
Stopping in Baton Rouge to see the LSU Campus, the house where Mom grew up, and to eat beignets at Coffee Call. We also had dinner with Aunt Maida, Rachel, Ollie, and Rosie.
Renting a Pontoon
Dave dropping the anchor before it was tied to the boat
Brooks walking (more like running) on water when he saw a Garr Fish
Sailing with Dan's Uncle Craig
Jumping off the Boat Dock
Our Big Beach Cups - sticker collections
Dinner at Boshamps
Crab Island - Dave almost breaking Brooks' back on the Lily Pad
Laurel and Presley's Matching High Heels
Taking A Drive to Panama City Beach to see Tim, Debbie, Kiwi, and Sophia
Dinner at Lulu's
So many laughs!
We were also in Destin when I received a phone call from my principals, telling me that there were not enough students to make a class for me at Curtsinger Elementary. They offered me a position at another school, but I chose to resign instead. I didn't want to move Presley for her Kindergarten year. So we are trusting in God's perfect timing.
