July - December 2019

- Brooks and Charlie went to Camp Copass in Denton with First Baptist Celina.  It was Brooks' first time to be away from home for that long, but he did awesome!  Presley and I had lots of girl time while he was gone and enjoyed ourselves too

 -We moved into our new house on July 17th.  I was so thankful that we moved during summer so that I had plenty of time to get things settled.  A few weeks later, The McWhorters came for a visit from Dubai and stayed with us.  As usual, our time together was filled with so much fun and so much laughter.

- In August, Grandma and Grandpa came to help with kids since Dave was so busy and I was in training.  The kids had a great time running around with them!  They went to Lake Texoma and the Eisenhower State Park and Birthplace.  They got to hang out at the RV park and go swimming a lot too, spending some nights in the RV.  Marla was a huge help around the house, making several dinners, and bringing the kids to Meet The Teacher.  

-Brooks started 4th grade with Mrs. Vanderford and Ms. Stanfield.  Presley started 2nd grade with Mrs. Rains, in the classroom right next door to mine!

-Erin and Lacey also came for a visit at the end of August.  It was an absolute blast running and around and finding fun ways to decorate the new house.  They also got to celebrate Brock's 40th birthday with us!

-Brooks started Boy Scouts in Celina.  

-Both kids were in the church musical, Blast Off.  Presley sang in the choir and Brooks played Jumping Jack Jupiter.  Their teachers and Gammy came to see their performances.  

-We took the kids to the Texas State Fair.  It was the first time I had been since high school.  They loved it!

-Dave and Paw Paw both came for the Veteran's Day Performance at school.  That same day, Dave and I headed to Vegas as a part of Salute to the Troops.  We spent several days with many men and women who had been injured in the line of duty.  We got to tour the new Raider's stadium, see Terry Fator, meet Herschel Walker and Gary Sinise, and spend a lot of time together.  The kids were in great hands with Gammy and Paw Paw, but we sure did miss them.

-For Thanksgiving, the family (dogs included) headed up to Roscoe, Illinois to spend the holiday with Greg's Family.  We had a blast!  On the way, we stopped in Springfield, Illinois to see where Abraham Lincoln lived and was buried. We went to his homestead, his burial site, and his museum.  We also got to spend a day in the Windy City with The Lynas Family.  And on the way home, we ate at Bennigan's, which is where Dave and I had our very first date.  

We spent Christmas at home, but then drove to Erin's cabin in Arizona, where it was crazy snowy.  After a few days there, we went to Phoenix to Grandma and Grandpa's.  We made Christmas cookies, had a gingerbread house contest, went to the movies, wrestled, played dress up, and had snow ball fights.  So many memories.

Paw Paw celebrated his 70th birthday.  We had a party at Blue Goose with the whole family.
