The past few days have been so exciting and so exhausting. The city that we live in had a huge 4th of July Celebration last night. We had already made plans with our friend Courtney and her new roommate, Kristina, to go have dinner. So we all went to BJ's brewery right down the street. They had the front parking lot closed off and had tables everywhere. My Uncle Tim and Aunt Deborah were there too with some friends from their neighborhood...so we all just sat outside and listened to the music and ate. Then came the big fireworks show!!! Both of my little cousins loved that!!!
Today started pretty slow. Dave has been exhausted from his long week...so he really enjoyed staying in bed and reading until 1:00. I was trying to catch up on laundry so that we could get everything packed. Then we had a bunch of errands to run before leaving town. We stopped at my mom and dad's for a quick dinner and headed home to finish packing. As soon as we get back from Aruba we head to the big family reunion in South Dakota. Then we head to Austin for a week for a tournament there. July is going to be a really busy and exciting month for us.
So here I am past midnight, not able to go to sleep. My husband, however, is sawing logs next to me. We have to get up and leave the house at 5:30 am. We fly to Houston and we should arrive in Aruba by 3:00. YEAH!!!!
